That’s a strong claim to make – that if you do have an email marketing list it can make your Internet business succeed, and if you don’t, it can break your business.
I fully stand behind it though, and I think I can convince you here of why you need an email marketing list.
Imagine, you have an online business and everything is going well – your website pages are all high in the SERPS, you are getting tons of traffic, you are turning that traffic into orders easily and well. The money is rolling in.
That is the best feeling ever. You are doing something right.

So, that’s the way an email marketing list can SAVE YOUR BUTT in bad times. The people on your list can’t ever be taken away from you. Google can’t take them, a hacker can’t steal them, and even a business crisis won’t stop them from buying.
And that’s just one way an email marketing list can help you. A growing and responsive list can be a boon while your business is thriving too.
They can be the first group of people you market your new products too. They can give immediate feedback on new products and directions your business is going in.
Your list members can be your own personal market testers. If they buy strong, you know you’ve got something good. If they express interest, you know you can see results from your new products as soon as they are available.
