Automated Email Marketing Beginners Guide

Are you just getting started with email marketing and want to get some automated messages set up but you aren’t sure how to do it?

Automated email messages (also called an autoresponder, an autoresponder series, or followup messages) can easily be set up with any good email marketing service or software.

I personally like to use Aweber.

So the first thing you are going to do is get an account with the email marketing service, or get some email marketing software.

Once you get set up with an email marketing service or software program, you will want to get all your list information set up – like list name, website URL, etc.

Once you get that set up, you can start working on your autoresponder messages.

The autoresponder messages will be sent, one at a time, in specified intervals, to each person who signs up for your email list.

They are fantastic for any kind of Internet Marketing.

They can lead your reader by the hand exactly where you want them to go.  They give you an opportunity to hook the attention of a potential customer once a day, or once a week, or however you do it.

They allow you to essentially ‘set and forget’ a website and still get great results.

So, create a series of messages that will speak to your readers and lead them hopefully to buying your product.

Load the messages into your autoresponder series in the order you want them to be delivered and set the time interval.  One a day is good for many businesses.  If you think that is too much you could do one every 4 days or once a week.

Once all that is set up and ready to go, you will need to create a form for people to sign up for your list, and then put that form on your website and start trying to entice people to sign up.

You should also sign up for your own list so you get the same email messages that everyone else does.  You will want to watch the flow and look for things you can improve.

Good email marketing services offer statistics so that you can see how many people are opening your messages and how many people are clicking on your links.

If you are selling your own product you can even see how many people are buying your product from your email marketing messages, and exactly which message is sending you the most buyers.

That is automation at it’s finest.  You truly can make money while you sleep.
